If you connect your Android device to your Macbook, you will notice that yourphone is not recognized. Unlike Windows, Apple's Mac seems not so friendly toAndroid devices. I have tested the three ways listed below on my Mac and Android. For yourreference, the device info is:

Pros and Cons
The advantage of this method is that you do not need to install any additionalsoftware since Bluetooth is the standard utility across different OS. But thedisadvantage is also obvious: the file transfer speed is slow. I have observedthat the transfer speed is about 100kb/s. For large files, it will take a lotof time. Unless you are always transferring small files, I would not recommendadopting this method.

Open the HTTP address in your browser, and you should be able to see all thefiles on your phone. Click a file to download it to your Mac1. To uploadfiles to your phone, first choose a file and then hit the upload button inthe interface.
The transfer speed is high and the process is stable.
Create a FTP server
Like the way to create a HTTP server, we can also create a FTP server on ourphone.
After starting the FTP server, you need to connect to this server to sharefiles. To connect to the FTP server, you need a FTP application. You may trythe free software such as cyberbuck orfilezilla. Let's take filezilla for anexample. Install this application, open it and set up the FTP server, you willsee an interface like the image below:
The file transfer speed is also quite high.

Step 7: On the Windows 10 device, open the Bluetooth app again. You should see a link that says Send Or Receive Files Via Bluetooth. Click on that, and the Bluetooth File Transfer window will open up.
Step 8: To receive files on the Windows machine, click on Receive instead of Send. In your Android device, select the file to be shared and tap on the Share option. Choose Bluetooth and Select the Windows 10 device it is paired to. On the Windows device, you'll be asked to specify the location the file should be saved in. Use the Browse button for this and hit Finish when you're done. Your file will now be sent from the Android device and saved in the Windows 10 device in the location you specified.
